I hope this is the right forum for this question. If not, feel free to move it or let me know & I'll move it.

Is there anE124936-G cable that splits to signal cable 2 devices? My mother board only has 2 signal ports for SATA devices. one goes to the DVD drive & the other goes to the HDD. My old machine(with IDE devices has a power cable that splits like the communication cables do. Can I get one like it for my SATA ones?

Never mind, I realized that you can't use the same serial port for 2 different devices without some kind of a controller. DUH. I also found 2 more data ports on the mother board so I guess all I need is a cable from Radio Shack.
I guess it just takes a while for water to soak thru rock.
