I am running Windows XP Pro. and whenever I shut down this message comes up:

    "C\WINDOWS\System32\MAPISRVR,EXE "
    Cannot access a necessary file "gapi32.dll "
How can I correct this problem? I've run Win Doc. using Norton but it will not fix it. HELP!!!! :(

You may have this W32.magistr.24876 virus. It affects your windows messaging system. Are you using Eudora as email client

Hello Rancher, I've gone to both web sights you've given me and I am confused on what to do. I did download the gapi.dll file and a box came up saying to be cautious and by opening the file it could mess up my system. Can you maybe tell me the steps on what to do?
    Thanks again,
    Lucy

copy the gapi32.dll file to C:\windows\system32 Have you been in windows explorer?
You can cover the base by also copy gapi32.dll to C:\program files\common\system
The effects take place after reboot. If a mess comes up asking "this file already exist ok to rewrite" check size & date making sure yours is newer, then ok \\\Rancher///:)
