First, make sure the games are still on the computer by doing a search for "sol.exe" (solitaire), freecell.exe, and mshearts.exe...they should be in the Windows folder.

If they are there and will run properly when opened from either the search window or directly from the Windows folder, then the shortcuts just got messed up. In that case, delete the existing shortcuts and make new ones by right-clicking on each exe file, point to Send To and click on Desktop.

If they are not there or won't open, reinstall them through Control Panel>Add Remove Programs>Windows Setup tab, highlight "Accessories," click on the Details button. If "Games" is checked, uncheck it, click Apply to uninstall then go back to the same place, re-check Games, click Apply to reinstall.
