Hey, I have a Philips burner and for some reason, in Windows XP, the intergrated burner is unavalible and I can't burn from Media Player.
    anyone know why?

    thanx

Is it in the Device Manager? If it is, are there any ? marks or ! marks. Have you uninstalled it from the Device Manager and let Windows redetect it? If it's not, have you asked Windows to add new hardware fron the Control Panel?
Is the burner the only CD on your IDE port?
If you have a CDROM on the same IDE port try changing the Master/Slave order of the two drives. If you try this make sure you uninstall both from the device manager and let windows redetect them.

    So many questions!
