I'm trying to install Windows 2000 Advanced Server on my SCSI HD, I ran setup.exe while running my other OS (Windows 2000 Professional), and I set it to choose the partition to install to during setup.
The SCSI HD won't show up there though, unless I load the third party SCSI drivers I have at startup, when it asks you to hit F6. I do so, and the next screen goes "Press S to load any SCSI drivers you need to install ". I press S and a message appears saying:

Unexpected error (0) on D:\nt\private\ntos\boot\setup\oemdisk.c at line 962.

D: being an IDE HD with the swap file (and the place where setup copied the temporary files to be installed later).

Anyone know a workaround or a way to get setup to recognize the SCSI HD?

    Thanks in advance.

What SCSI controller are you using?

Doesn't look like your floppy disk with the updated drivers is being seen. Make sure the drivers have been extracted correctly to the floppy.

I'm using an Adaptec 19160 with an IBM DDYS 18GB SCSI HD, but I don't have a floppy drive on this machine... are you telling me I need to go buy a floppy drive just to install the **** thing because it won't let me select the drivers on the other HD?
I hope windows isn't THAT lame...
