    Hi all,

So I have a regular PC with Win XP SP3 installed and updated. I use it only to watch movies and go online so it doesn't have any extra hardware in it. Motherboard based audio and video, HDD and DVD Writer.

It has been working fine and the last thing i did was go online, visit a facebook and shut it down.

Now the next morning when i turned it on, everything went fine uptil the first 15 seconds but before i could see the welcome to win xp screen the screen went blank. the video card is still sending signals but nothing happens.

i did a restart and it happened again so on the next reboot i selected microsoft recovery console and there i saw the blue screen telling me to do a CHKDSK scan and the error code was 0xf78d2524.

I can't seem to find anything on this as most ppl who have encountered this did so when doing a Win XP install or changed drives. i haven't added any hardware or software to my PC.

    Can anyone help please?

Did you ran a CHKDSK scan? What was the outcome?
