Browsers not showing images or loading style sheets

I have a machine here, XP Home, IE6, AOL9.
Which when viewing web sites will not show images or load any style sheets - All I can see is unstyled content, this happens in both IE and AOL.
Checked for spyware / virii - none found, reset all net settings back to default.
Anyone got any other ideas - I'm stumped!

All websites have this problems?
Can you delete all offline content? Cookies and everything else!
Do a disk clean up.
Reset the settings from IR and check if you have some kind of software bocking, like firewall.

I have brought the machine back to my house, put it on my network and have no problem.

it only does this when connected through the AOL Broadband connection - could a faulty modem/filter do this? - I don't expect much help from AOL!
