    Just connected to BT broadband.

Connection works fine through dialup shortcut on desktop but it only connects me to the internet but does not launch the browser, home page, etc., i.e. connected to the internet but no browser window/home page.

To launch the internet brower, I need to double click on a separate IE icon on my desktop which then opens up the broswer with the BT homepage, although the title page states, for example, Windows BBS - Post New Thread - Microsoft Internet Explorer provided by Tesco.net (my previous ISP).

Surely there must be a way of connecting to the Internet and launching the broswer simultaneously!

    Can anyone help?

    Many thanks, Pete.

    You shouldn't "need" to connect.

What happens if you just click the IE icon?

    I agree.

The IE icon opens up the browser correctly.

I suppose I could just rename it although in the browser window it refers to Tesco and shows the Tesco icon rotating in the top left corner of the browser window. No big deal really.

    Thanks for your reply.
