    Hi all

    http://bcheck.scanit.be/bcheck/

...was a good "prod my browser for loopholes" site, but doesn't seem to be working at the moment ( / anymore? )

gloomily, I note their most recent "Browser Security News" item is dated 11 Jan 2005 :( I would have thought there should have been a few entries since that date...

I've tried with two machines, and using both Opera and IE - but all I can get is "Session syncronization error is detected." (sic)

...would appreciate if some kind folk(s) could give it a quick check over just to make sure it's not something specific to these computers or ISP (dialup) connection

    TIA & best wishes, HJ

I tried the site and got the same error you did.

Site seems to be up OK but the test is kaput!

    Hi John

cheers for taking a look & apologies for poor wording of original title  have adjusted it a bit

shame about the test, was useful - particularly for non-IE browsers - prodded me into upgrading Opera a while back

let's hope they mend it - but from the out of date news items, I fear scanit may have given up?

    best wishes, HJ

Yup. Testing piece is hosed. I tried setting for a single very light duty test and got the same synch failure.

A google search for test browser security did turn up a bunch of other sites and some of them are from well known sources so should be perfectly safe. The others may be but these days, who knows.
