I dutifully installed the Comcast software (as they transition from @Home), and I now have three major new folders.
CHSI (Comcast High Speed Internet), Support.com and Broadjump.
In spite of the somewhat negative discussion of Support.com at www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,220244..
I found Support.com to be quite helpful in getting my comcast.net email configured. But I have stopped it from running on bootup so it is just there if I need it.
And I assume CHSI files are whatever is needed to run Comcast's ISP.

But not understanding what Broadjump does bothered me. So I emailed Broadjump and asked. To their credit they replied!
"BroadJump is a provider of software and services to your broadband provider. To receive proper support, you will need to direct all inquiries concerning your broadband service or related software to your broadband service provider. However, to answer your question, the Client Foundation is an agent that your ISP will use to offer new services to its subscribers as well as updates. When your ISP has new services or offerings to deliver to its subscribers, the Client Foundation will be the mechanism in which the services will be delivered. What services? They range from the ability to offer software, such as firewall or antivirus, or services, such as video on demand. The application should not take up too many resources when it is running. Most of the time, the application will not be running. It has some polling intervals set that tell it when to "wake up" and check for updates. If there aren't any updates, it terminates itself. "
Honest, but not very reassurring about what really will go on.
I think I want to uninstall BroadJump (it is in Control Panel|Add/Remove, so should not be difficult to do).
Does anyone think uninstalling BroadJump will have any negative effects on my PC or using the ISP?
    Thanks in advance.

I would get rid of all of it.

You do not need any of the Comcast softeware to use the internet, period!

Just configure your IE or Netscape lan settings.

That Broadjump sure sounds an awful lot like spyware to me, I would trash can it.
