A month ago I got a home broadband connection. Well the connection is up and running, but it would only send data, not recieve it. After days of fumbling around, I got it to work by going to Administrative Tools; Data Sources, Connection pooling, and Enabled Perfmon. Worked great for a week. Well all of a sudden it stopped working again and it says it is anable to renew the IP address and unable in purging the DNS resolver cache. Well then I got it to work again by going to Administrative Tools; Computer Management; Services and Applications, Services; DNS Client and went from Automatic to manual and stopped it. Well that worked for a few weeks and while using the internet, it all of a sudden stoped working and it was giving me the same errors as before. I installed XP on another HD and tried these tricks again, no luck. What is going on and how can I resolve this??

Try giving you a static IP address. If it works, then check with your ISP.
Are you using PPPoE or DHCP from your ISP?
