I'm building a new system and got a question about cpu fans.
I plan on using the AMD xp1700 cpu. If you buy as a boxed cpu it comes with a "AMD approved" fan.
    Is this fan sufficient?
If not, suggestions and arguments as to why would be appreciated.

    Thanks again all.

Depending on your experience level, you could put on a much better HSF or "don't worry - be happy" and just stick with the stock one - obviously AMD wouldn't give you an HSF that wouldn't keep your CPU well within temperature specifications.

Alot of us hobbyists spend alot of time trying to reduce the CPU temp but, overclocking aside, it's not really necessary for the average computer user/builder.
