Running Win7 and had a drive go bad that Had the boot.ini info in it
I do not use it anymore, just single boot off the C: drive

starting windows comes up for a about 2 minute, no graphic or HD activity.

Then the graphic starts are loads ok

    Just takes a long tine

I used the Windows repair disk and found a problem and it I repaired it,
but the 3 minute boot is still here. Took about 45 sec before

    Thanks
    Gary

That could mean reinstalling your whole system...or...live with it, if it works...

Do a search on boot.ini. How did you get it back? Did you use Microsoft's Startup Repair? [Maybe boot.ini is now on a HDD other than the Win 7 OS disk and it is not very fast.]
