Booting - Dual Boot With Two Drives

    I have XP on two differant hard drives. How can I boot between the two drives? Thank You funnnyfarm

    There are several ways, among them:

    1. You can manually edit your boot.ini file to include the loader line for the other system. (see item 4. below)

    2. You can boot to the recovery Console and run the fixboot command and follow the procedure presented to get the right boot.ini entry done for you.

    3. You can use xxclone (freeware) and use its feature to add the necessary line to the boot.ini file.

    4. You can post the contents of your present boot.ini file here for review and suggested editing needed. That will require you to report how many partitions your second drive has and upon which is the unbootable XP system. (Normally that would be partition 1 but we can't assume that until you verify it.)
