I have windows xp pro with SP2. I have a HP photosmart 2610v all in one printer, fax, scanner, copier. I have traced out by unhooking all hardware and my reboot problem goes away. I found that everything works fine until I connect the 2610 printer to the USB port and the problem re-occurs. When this problem happens I notice that the curser in the upper left hand part of the screen will flash probably up to 5 min and it will boot. I have actually reached down and unplugged the USB while in the reboot and it goes ahead and boots fine. I have unloaded and reloaded all drivers from the updates page of hp home URL for this unit. This did not help. Since I have found disconnecting while in the reboot and replacing the plug after windows reboots i can reboot normally. I guess if I can't resolve this issue or no one has an answer for a fix, I can continue to unplug the USB plug from the Port while in the reboot.

    Thanks
    Piperman
