is there a file or a away to see if a laptop was booted or logged into (even failed attempts) between certain dates?

a friend's ex- grabbed up her laptop, told her he knew she was doing one of those dating websites and he had someone who could crack her PW and prove it for him. (PS she isn't/wasn't, he's nuts  ). well he gave it back after he sobered up, but she wants to know if he did get into it (lawyer and other communications)

IF this violates any rules don't answer, just let me know!
(Admin: if this is the wrong place, please feel free to move it)

Event Viewer ->System section will show you when a machine was rebooted and or failed logged in attempts.

Thanks Steve R Jones I was going to suggest that but I wasn't sure if I was overstepping any forum rules or policies.

For absolutely sure - she needs to scan that computer with her anti-malware programs. And I recommend you do supplemental scanning with Malwarebytes's Anti-Malware (MBAM) too.
