boot-up help

ok this is exactly what it comes up with when i try to start up the pc
black background with this:-

we apologise for the inconvenience but wondows did not start succesfully a recent hardware or software change might have caused this

if your computer stopped responding, restarted imexpectaly or was automatically shut down to protect files and folders select last known configuration settings (the moste recent settings to work)

if a previous start up attempt was interupted due to a power failure or because the power reset buttyon button was pressed or if you are not sure what caused the problem select start windows normally

safe mode
safe mode with net-working
safe mode with command prompt
start windows normally
last knows configuration settings that worked

what happens when i select each thing.

start normally - a white bar appears at the bottom of screen and looks as if its loading up but still after 5 minutes nothing happens

last settings to work - screen goes black then the bar appears again and does nothing

safemode/networking/command prompt - a list of things about 30 things appear some of which are as follows

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)particion(1)\windows\system32\pcisys.sys

IN safe mode, what is the LAST thing that appears before it quits?

 

well your name , and status makes me think you might be able to help me.

last line it comes up with is
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)particion(1)\windows\system32\mup.sys

as i said before it comes up with about 30-40 of the line command things but then its like it just freezes as after 5 minutes it still does nothing. unless i have to leave it longer, please i hope you can help.

 

Do you see a line just above that, relating to video drivers, something like Ativga.sys?
Anyhow, nothing wrong with mup.sys, it's the next file after that which has a problem, usually ACPI.sys or APIC.sys (power management stuff).
Unfortunately, there's not much you can do, without a bit of work, however it is recoverable.
The ONLY way, that works for sure, is a reinstall of Windows.
Not a format, lose everything, but an "over the top" install.
Try that, and if you're not familiar with how to do it, try a search, there are plenty of tutorials and posts on just that.
