Im trying to update my bios but having problems booting up so i can run the ami and award BIOS update program.

What should be on the floppy disk to allow me to boot up to get a prompt so i can flash the BIOS.

    Many thanks,
    Stuart.

Any Windows startup diskette will work.
    Grab one from bootdisk.com
The Win98 one is probably the easiest.
    Doesn't matter what filesystem.
Put the flash and the app on the floppy.

You'd better make sure you know which BIOS you have first.
Is it Award, or is it AMI?

I always use drdos 7 from http://www.bootdisk.com/ there aren't any extra drivers on it so there is plenty of room for the flash utilities. I've used it with 2000 and XP.
