I want to save the bookmarks that I have on Mozilla and IE to another external hard drive. Is that possible? Can you give me an easy step by step process on how to do this? Thanks.

    Hi Karen,

For IE, its folder is located in C:\Documents and Settings\your user name.

To copy it, bring up the C drive and narrow it and bring up the external drive and narrow it so that they are side by side and drag and drop the favorites folder into where you want it to save it.

Or you can use the Explorer window.

Can't tell you where the Mozilla favorites are located.

For Mozilla you'll be looking for "bokmarks.html" file.
    It's located here:
    C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator(or yourname)\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\***.default
where "***" is a combination of letters, and numbers
Substitute Firefox for SeaMonkey, if that's what you are using.

Far simpler method in IE ....

    File > Import/Export - Favourites, Cookies, Feeds

Firefox also has an export feature. Open Firefox, click on Bookmarks, then on Organize Bookmarks. In the window that opens, click File>Export. Tell it to export to the external hard drive. Name the file whatever you want.
