    After trying 4..78, 4.79, and 7.01, I've settled
on 4.8. My problem is that I can't get my bookmarks.htm into the proper position(s).

    In Communicator/Program/defaults, I have a 19.4kb
    bookmarks.htm.
    In Users, I have261b bootmarks.htm AND 19.4.kb
    bookmarks.htm.

At present, only the smaller item shows each time
I click on Navigator. Can I erase the 261b item
without damaging the program, or must I reposition
    some items?

    booTmarks.htm doesn't sound right...
Anyway, I would open those 3 files and compare.

    Welcome to the Forum, maro1

    Hi maro1,

    Your bookmark.htm file location is:
    C:\Program Files\Netscape\Users\yourusername

The small file located in the
    C:\Program Files\Netscape\Communicator\Program\default
folder, is the default Bookmarks file that Netscape provides.

The file name for the 7.01 Bookmarks, is bookmarks.html.

If you have a fairly large collection of Bookmarks, then my guess is that the 261 KB file is most likely your personal file. As broni suggested, right click and open the files with Notepad, to ascertain the contents.

Let us know if you have more questions.

Thanks all, for your help. Ramona, that figure was
261B's, not kb's. Anyhoo, I finagled a second profile that included the 19.4kb bookmarks.

Problem: How to transfer one Inbox sub-folder
(jokes)to the second profile Inbox, which
    presently lacks a sub-folder.

Would it be possible to cut-and-paste?

    Hi maro1,

Yes, you can copy from one Profile and Paste into another.

The Inbox subfolder would be Inbox.sbd.

Glad to hear your Bookmarks issue was resolved. Guess I need to have my eyes checked!
