    Hi jrbusterb
Does this work? Or maybe this?

I use a free tiny app calledBookmark Wizard for all my favorites.

    Export a Favorites File

Export creates an htm file that can be imported by Netscape and Explorer.

Click File in the menubar and select Import and Export
Highlight Export Favorites and click Next.
Your favorites folder with sub-folders is displayed.
Choose the favorites folder to export all favorites, or one of the sub-folders.
    Click on Next.
Export the favorites to Netscape (Export to an Application) - - this overwrites the Netscape bookmark file
OR... export them to a floppy disk (Export to a File or Address) This is better - use Netscape to import the list into its bookmark file.
The Wizard will tell you you have successfully completed the steps. Click Finish.
You'll see a pop-up window which notifies you of a success. Click O.K.

Note: If you use both Netscape and Internet Explorer on a regular basis, consider getting bookmark software that can be used by both.

Thanks to both of ya ;) The reason this was getting my goat, was because the import was defaulting to NS on my C:\ drive, not to D win 2000, where I installed 7pr1. May have X# of bk files in C now :D. That also answered my last ? about how did it find a profile for me. Thanks a meg. busterb

Using the same bookmarks in IE and Netscape

I use the same homepage (which is my bookmarks for NS) in IE and NS. I cannot 'add bookmark' when I am browsing with IE, but as NS is my default browser this is hardly ever a problem. It just needed some care to find where 'bookmarks.htm' is stored.
    David :)
