Hi I am using Compaq NC 6400 Win XP SP3,Earlier my bluetooth was running fine.I installed Bluesoil for some use and then uninstalled it after some time.Bluesoil installed over my earlier bluetooth.and when i unistalled bluesoil .I found my old bluetooth icon was missing for control panel.I checked the device manager for driver and it shows HP Bluetooth 2.0 Wireless. Can anyone tell me how to restore Bluetooth icon in my control panel. Also i can see bluetooth turned on,in HP wireless assistant and my WiFi is also working.Bluetooth driver used is Widcomm.

Go to the HP site and download the bt software for your comp and reinstall it. The latter program may have removed the HP software. It would not have removed the drivers though as it needed them.

Find "Software Support for HP Integrated Module with Bluetooth Wireless "

Hi Tony,Never had a clue that the software is missing. Now BT is not only working but it is more faster and with more options than the previous one.If a person thinks logically over a problem, he can solve every problem. Thanks
