About two weeks ago I had to replace the power supply. I thought the system was OK. However, it takes along time to boot completely. It takes a long time to load some programs and when shutting down it locks up and must be turned off. Sometimes the blue warning page " if this is the first time you have seen this you can " comes up with a suggestion to check available hard drive space and use checkdisk. It lists the file kdcom.dll as a file of concern. I am running free AVG, Malwarebytes Anti Malware, Spybot, and Superantispyware and find only small adware on Superantispyware. The others show a clean machine.

What can I do to get this back to operating correctly.

    So did you try that?

Next: Follow these instructions to post a Dump Data Log.

If you do not have a dump, ensure that your machine is configured to write out a dump by following the directions from microsoft

Yes, I ran chkdsk. The hard drive is only 0.5 full, out of 300 GB. I could not find any dumps even after a search. I did find a trojan on scvhost.exe. I used the Microsoft monthly virus program and it seems to be working. I was trying to figure out how to say it is RESOLVED for the time being. I hope I don't have to work on this one again for a while.

    Thanks for your help.
