    Hello,

My PC sometime shows the BSD and then restarts. I am running vista SP2. I am not sure why its happening although I have noticed that it happens when I close the windows media player - it doesn't happen every time also, just randomly. Other times the PC is running fine.

All windows update are applied. I also scanned the PC with Antivir and BitDefender online scanner but they didn't find anything.

I read here how to post the dump file log so I am pasting its content below. Can you please see what the problem may be?

    Many thanks.

    Welcome to WindowsBBS :)

    Please note .....
On my reading you have a problem with ......

Probably caused by : atikmdag.sys which is the ATI Radeon Kernel mode driver.

Seems to be a fairly common problem and I suggest you look through the hits here for a possible solution ....

Thank you for the link. I went through some of them. For now I have removed Catalyst Control Center and disabled windows sidebar. Will wait and see if this solves the problem.

    FYI ....
Above is for XP - Vista is no doubt similar - I bypassed that en route to 7 :)
