When attempting to launch the IE Browser I get this Blue Screen error message: fatal error at 0000.0000004E.

What does this mean? What should I do. After rebooting I was able to launch the IE browser with no prroblems.

    Thank you!

Is this all of the error? Need more information to pin this down. The following articles should help to explain how vast the causes and solutions are.

Theses articles offer a basic knowledge of fatal errors and some of the common causes and cures:

This ms article and its sublinks, pretty well cover all the bases in explaining what they are, what causes them and how to troubleshoot them:

Troubleshooting Windows Explorer Errors-A HelpWithWindows TechFile:
In a lot of cases, these errors are caused by 3rd party shell extensions that are not functioning properly, malware/adware, bad ram, etc....

Just checked and glanced at some of your "past posted history ". I see your not new to fatal errors and probably have been given many tips on house cleaning your system, maintenance routines, stopping unneeded startups, checking your ram. The fact that this is random will make it even harder so unless this is ram, heat or hardware based it looks like you need to do some "house cleaning ".
