I frequently visit a site to play Gin and this site has created folders and downloaded files into the Program FIles folder. These files are necessary to be able to access the site and play Gin. One of the folders is called AdCache and it contains advertising which is displayed when I enter the room to play gin. After playing a session and logging off, i found out that if I delete all the files in this folder the next time I log into this site there are no advertisements flashing above and to the sides of the room screen. However during the session the site downloads advertisment gifs to this folder and the next time i log on the ads are back. Some of the files are .gif extensions and some are .gft.

MY QUESTION: Is there something I can do to the folder that will make it impossible for the files to be written. I also found out that if I delete the entire folder the next time I log into the site I do not get any ads but a folder is created and files are put in for use the following time. BTW when the files are written to the folder by the site they have a check on the archive box.

    Thanks

If there isn't enough information ask questions and i'll reply.

You could try right clicking on the Folder, select Properties, and then check the box for Read Only. Then delete all the gif and gft files like you have doing all along. I don't know if this will keep you from playing Gin.
