I mean my incoming email. I get as many as 40 per day. I do
"block sender" but that is very time consuming. Thanks for your
    patience.

    Hi J.Lee

You would use a spam filter. N7.1 comes with this feature. I'm using a earlier version of N7, so I use a 3rd party filter. Newer spam filters are good, but should be used in conjunction with multiply email addresses. Having at least 3 email addresses makes the task easier.... family & friends, trusted web sites and the 3rd one.. give it to anyone junk account. Make sure your current email address defaults to the "junk account "... why, because all the nasty's have that address on there list.

You may try contacting your ISP and changing your email address. It may be a pain in the ***, notifying everyone, etc, but once they get you, it's tough to get rid of them..

I suggest you find a program than employs Bayesian filtering. two come readily to mind: Disruptol OL and SpamPal:

    http://disruptor.de

    http://SpamPal.com

Disruptor natively offers bayesian filtering as well as other options but currently only works in outlook 2000 (and later); plus it's a plugin so you don't have to change ANY email client settings which is one of the reasons I like it.

SpamPal is a local email proxy and requires you to download the Bayesian plugin. As a proxy it will require you to change the account information for each address, but it will work with any email client.

    good luck

I use Mailwasher. It shows you incoming e-mails and after a very short time it will list things for you as -Delete-Bounce-Blacklist. You can add the ones you consider "friends" to your list as they come in. You can then process the deletes etc right from the mailwasher without having to do each separately. The free edition of Mailwasher allows you only one account but I liked that so much that I paid a small fee and got Mailwasher pro and I can use more accounts--including Hotmail. Try it.

K9 has been a lifesaver to me.

You can set it up to isolate spam to your deleted folder..or any other for that matter.

Lets face it spam is more prolific than ever and you won't avoid it no matter how many times you change email addresses.

K9 will function with mutiple email addresses, I currently run 5

Then you can set Outlook Express to empty your deleted files automatically.

A VERY REAL LIFESAVER it has proved to be for me.

    Check it out......HERE

    Hi J.lee,

I agree with Janlar I would suggest Mailwasher it is very efective and free you can downlaod it here. It is very easy to use as it lets you see your mail before you download it to your computer. Once you have marked all the mail you do not want to see again like the **** it will not be able to get to you again .
