My friend uses AOL and keeps getting spam mail from Yahoo. He does not know how to block it. I don't use AOL and don't know how they block mail. Can you tell me what to do? :)

You're gonna find that most folks on this board don't use or like AOl. AOL keeps advertising their new spam blocking, I would have your friend call AOL. Or do an AOL search for blocking senders/spam.

I don't use or like it either and I do my share of trying to ween people from it, but some people just won't let go...

Anyway, there has to be a setting. ;)

    mojo13,

Check the following link on how to block spam on AOL accounts.

    http://www.techtv.com/callforhelp/aol/story/0,24330,2390868,00.html

Aleekat is definitely dead on when he states that most folks on this board don't use or like AOL.

Also, you should know that AOL will notify the blocked sender of the refusal, thereby confirming that the email address is valid. And one final note is AOL places a limit on the number of blockable senders you can have. I'm not sure of that limit but believe it to be somewhere in the range of 50 to 100.
