Hello, I want to block a subdomain of a web site. I added one line in
    Code:
    C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\host
    Which is
    Code:
    127.0.0.1 www.asp.net/downloads
    Unfortunately it doesn't work.

Could you please test it in your site?
    Thanks.

You can't. The hosts file was never meant for that. It only works on the 'host' level (hostname or domain name), i.e. www.asp.net and/or asp.net.

    Also
    The actual file is \Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts

Thanks, so you meant no way to block it?
