[Blank screen with monitor adjustment menu]

When I turn on the computer, the menu for monitor appears (same one if you pressed menu button on monitor). I thought it might be caused by malware so I reformatted I hard drive and it is still doing it.

what could be the problem?

I am editing the title because "Blue screen" means something different to us.

 

thank you for the advice .creating partition has nothing to relate with 'Blue Screen' I'll use your suggestion (if in the coming months I need to format ).I'll buy the original XP CD & will follow your procedure.

Now the Blue Screen which I'm talking about is nothing else then a blue menu window which pops up when we press the menu button on the monitor , which has many red colored options on it.and sometimes the brightness of my screen is reduced to zero of its own.
Its often becomes irritating when it keeps on poping again n again.
Usually it pops up in the beginning when the booting starts till 5-6 min after the desktop appears.And when I press the monitors button(in the period from starting till those 5-6 min) to remove it from the screen ,the buttons don't seem to work.And later when the screen appears again I use the same buttons then to disable then they work at once .It is only from the beginning to those 5-6 min they don't work and if during those minutes if the screen brightness is automatically set to 0 and when then I press the '+' on the monitor(to change the brightness to 100 or any value) then they don't work and later if the brightness disturbs the same '+' button of the monitor works
For your information I've not installed any driver or video card.

Check the data cable to the monitor, actually the connector. Check it is connected tightly or disconnect it and make sure there are no bent pins (if some pins are missing, that is normal).
