Blanc pages in Internet Explorer 6.0

When I click a link to a web-page in Outlook Express, Internet Explorer try to open it, but never get finish.
To open the page I have to click STOP + UPDATE. Then the page is opening.
But the headtext of the page tells me:
"No page to view-Microsoft Internet Explorer"
( "Ingen side å vise-Microsoft Internet Explorer ").

Some of the same thing happens also often when I surf on the net, with Int.Expl. opened from my desktop.
The title of the blanc pages(and pop-ups) is often
"About Blank-Microsoft Int. Expl. ".
But if I try the same methode as told, whith the STOP+UPDATE-buttons, I only hear a "pling-sound" and nothing happends.
So I have to close the window.
Sometimes I can`t download programs from the net, because the download-link is on the blank page and I can not open it.

If anyone have some experience about these problems, and maybe know an selution, please answer these letter.

Draks-- I have understood that you never get the desired webpage to open even after clicking Stop+Update, correct?
Could be several things.

If nothing above works, see if you have a C:Windows\HOSTS file. (Not HOSTS.SAM or LMHOSTS.SAM, just HOSTS) If so, post back.
