    Hi

I'm installing Vista Beta 2 on a partitioned hdd. I get the normal procdure of ... "Expanind Files ", then I get a black screen with the information about the build in the bottom right of the screen. This screen stays on for about 2 minutes, my PC reboots and then goes back to the Vista installation screen and it's "Completing Installation ". Then it goes back to the same black for about 10 minutes, after that my PC reboots again, goes back to the black screen and then it stays there. Last I left it running on that screen for about 5 hours, every 20minutes or so the screen turns off like "Power Saving Mode ", if I then move the mouse, it switches on again, there is also a normal white mouse cursor.

Any ideas why my PC doesn't get passed this point?

    Thanks

    HankG

    I wouldn't bother with Beta 2. It's quite bad.

RC1 is out, and should be available for public download any time this week.

Make sure you don't have any usb port with a mp3 player, or memorystick or external drive. It hangs on those.

    Thanks Spoorzoeker,

I Will give that a try when I get home this evening, I think I might have had a USB bluetooth dongle plugged in.
