black images in photo viewer

    In my wife's hp all-in-one, AMD A6-5200processor and Windows 8.1, she cannot look at photographs with the photo viewer. File explorer shows images as large icons correctly, then the first large image in photo viewer is ok, but the third and following images are displayed completely black. Sometimes you can see the icons in explorer turn to black as you watch.

    I have updated bios and graphics drivers and AMD software.

    Any ideas what is going on?

    Have you tried in Picasa, a free Photo Viewer/Manager or the free version of
    IfanView, just to see if they do the same.
    If yes, then there could be a possibility of a misbehaving Graphics card.

    Good suggestion. I will try it. They used to display properly, and I can display them on my computer over the network.
