When I am typing in OE Express, Word or Word Perfect when I try to back up my cursor it goes v-e-r-y slowly. It types at normal speed (forward) when I am posting in some instances (Like this one) but v-e-r-y slowly types in others. When I hold down the space bar it is always very slow. I went into the control panel and adjusted the keyboard repeat rate and that helped some but I can't understand why it works at normal speed sometimes and goes slow as molasses in winter in other applications. Thanks for all your help!

What other programs, if any, are running when this happens? How long has your computer been on (since startup or reboot)?

    More info

Sorry it tool me so long to get back on the board. I am running Win 2000 with 512 DDR. The other programs running in the backround are antivirus, Spysweeper, PopUp Stopper, and Sygate Personal Firewall. Computer has been rebooted several times latley. It seems not to make a difference.

I am putting in another 512 chip as soon as it comes and if it helps I will let you know. Thank you for your kind reply.
