THIS IS A BASIC QUESTION THAT I DON'T KNOW THE ANSWER TO.

IN MY BIOS SETPOINTS / POWER MANAGEMENT FEILD, I HAVE TWO SETTINGS FOR FOR SUSPEND TYPE. 1= S1 (POS) 2= S3 (STR)
I ASSUME THE S3 (STR) STANDS FOR SUSPEND TO RAM? HAVEN'T GOT THE FOGGIEST WHAT S1 (POS) IS ? IT IS CURRENTLY SET FOR S1 (POS) . WHATS THE DIFFERENCE ? IS ONE BETTER?

    TYAN S2390B MB, AWARD BIOS V 1.10, ATHALON 1.2 @ 200 FSB
    WIN 98SE,

    THANX

    Thanks Picard

That answers my question . I will try str and see if my system likes it . If not I'll put it back to pos. That google translation was pretty bad but it explained a lot more than my tyan user manual did. It says absolutely nothing about those settings and many others so that link will come in handy.
