    Windows 7 IE 11, Firefox 32.0.1

Bing hijacked my home page in both Internet Explorer and Firefox. Have tried every possible solution to no avail. Bing does not appear on my Program list and I deleted it from search engine list. How do I get rid of it?

Hi Eleanor316, In Firefox > Open Menu > Options > General > enter your Home page url.
In IE > Alt+M will open window > Add or Change Home Page.
Or, along the Address bar > click down arrow > Menu opens and you can Delete or Remove Bing.
Have you tried in IE > Tools > Internet Options > Create Home Page. Neil.

Did that and many other maneuvers, didn't work. Bing does not appear on my Program list in control panel and I did not consciously download it.

I finally found a resolution for the problem. When on the home page, I drag the URl to the desktop to make a icon and use that to go to home page. :)

That is a "Workaround" but not a fix for the problem.
In IE properties have you set 1 or more home pages?

I reset both IE and fire fox and now all is well. Thanks for your input.

Good thinking! Going back to the defaults many times does resolve issues.
