    Hi-All,
SO sorry to hear about Ramona....Hope all is well with your rehab...
    Keep the faith...
I just d/l a suggested app/add on that Woody Leonard wrote about in his column in Windows Secrets!!! Better Privacy for flash LSO's
Now I have NO sound across all OS's...windows and ubuntu?
How could that app destroy my sound card....Things are showing working properly in device mgr???
Adobe flash is installed properly but NO sound....All plugins are working...
Do I uninstall FF 3.6.8? Will that fix things ????
What a bummer!!!!! I trust Woody,,,he usually knows his stuff he writes about....
    Suggestions appreciated...
    John in Dallas.

It does not look like it is resolved. I don't have any answer, but how about removing or disabling the addon. You don't have to kill the program.

I have been using this addon for quite sometime. No problem so far. Did you install/uninstall anything else ? An addon should not be able to touch your speakers setting.

You say that the problem is solved. How can you? I don't care about this, as I have no idea what is going on, but a problem is not solved, if something crazy is still going on.
This would mean that there is no problem, now that lonestar1 suspects that Firefox is killing the sound.

Westside, I second you on that.

The immediate problem may be solved, but what caused it in the first place ? It could be a one off incident, but what if starts repeating itself ?
