I am going to be out of commission for a couple of weeks due to surgery.

    I'm buying a new Win10 laptop.
What's the best software to access our 3 Win7 computers from another room?

#1 computer is my wife's stand alone with 1 monitor.

#2 and #3 are both my computers (1 for trading etc).
I have double monitors and two manual switches where I can switch one or both monitors to either computer.

What's the best software to install on the new laptop (using WIFI) that will allow me to view each computer's configuration (1 configuration at a time) but if it has double monitors I need to be able to view each monitor separately (using a toggle key)?

If #2 or #3 has double monitors I need to be able to go quickly back and forth between each monitor on that particular computer.

It is important that each separate monitor appear full screen when toggled on.

    Thanks for any help

Understand "stand alone" means the computer is NOT connected to a network. So you are not going to access that remotely - and I am assuming this something your wife understands you are doing.

What do you mean by a computer's "configuration"? That often refers to how a computer is setup in the BIOS Setup menu and there's no way to view the BIOS Setup menu remotely.

You are not going to be able to swap which monitor to view remotely. Remote access does not work that way. If you had your dual monitor setup where the desktop was "extended" across both monitors, then you might be able to scroll back and forth - but even that seems unlikely because what you are really doing is using your new notebooks monitor.

TeamViewer of often the best remote access program but I still don't think will do what you are looking for. See this.

I think your best bet is for you to set up your new notebook with the applications you need running on your other systems, and just learn to live with your notebook until you recover enough to get around.

    Good luck with your surgery.

    Bill,

    Sorry for the inexact language.
All 3 computers are networked together.
By configuration, I just meant I want to remotely control and view each computer like I do now.

I can leave the dual monitors "extended" on #2 and a single monitor on #3 as long as I can somehow see both #2 monitors in some way.

I would recommend you try TeamViewer then.
