There are many commercial newsletter email packages that are very good. The problem most run into when using them, because they use a residential Internet service, is that the sender often gets flagged by anti-spam systems.

Newsletters must be formatted with the correct email headers and other headers. These commercial software programs do adfd the required headers, but the recipient's ISP may flag your newsletter as spam anyway, depending upon the quantity of messages you send.

For example, Verizon residential Internet only allows a customer to send 500 messages per hours, and if go over that limit they will disable your ability to send email for 24 hrs, even if have a Verizon Business Internet service.

If you can keep the quantity of messages sent under 200/hr then any of the commercial newsletter software will do. Expect to pay up to a hundred bucks for it.

You can also use a free account at Mail Chimp and have no concern about spam issues or quantities. (free accounts have quantity limits, but yours is fine).
