Best (i.e. cleanest) xvid codec pack to download for XP / 7 (maybe Vista)?

    Every time I find an Xvid / divx codec pack, it is full of JUNK. To the point of practically hijacking much of the system.

    Where can I find a CLEAN codec, at least for XP, where I can load it into friends' computers without fear of loading up their system with either malware or nuisance-ware?

    I have been using K_Lite Mega Codec Package for some time now. It contains a truck load of codecs & is reliable & malware free.

    Hi stelliger. I have also used the K-Lite Codec Pack for years and I find its perfect for being able to play different video and audio files. What I like about it is that you can customize the installation and uncheck any features that you don't want.
