hi not sure if right thread.
i am wondering what the best cleaning software is for getting rid of the junk and other stuff on a computer the problem is i have 3 different os one on xp 1 on vista and 1 on w7. i currently use ccleaner but was wondering if there is a better one out there to use.
what i currently do is run ccleaner, then defrag the computers.

is there an other way to do it which is better process of cleaning the whole computer.

There is no best cleaning software.

I use CCleaner only & am happy with it.

You're given such tool in your malware thread - TFC.
CCleaner is a fine tool, as long as you don't touch registry part.

The problem I have with CCLeaner is that whenever you install a new program, it automatically assumes you want it "cleaned" as well--for example, when I installed MS Office 2010, it wiped out my recent files list, etc. I just can't have a program decide what it will do for me, without even bothering to warn me about it.

For things like recycle bin, temp files, flash cookies, etc., I use Moo DiskCleaner. Never had a problem with it. Quick, too.

A temporary files cleaner that I use that is similar to TFC is ATF Cleaner. Its very lightweight and it doesn't require installation which is always nice.
