    Hi All,

I am planing to buy the antivirus license. Over my search , I found that Bit Defender has the best reviews on most of the internet sites.

    Anyone using it ?

If not, any advice for other antivirus would be appreciated. Thanks !

Yes, I've read some good reports about Bit Defender too.

I've never used a paid antivirus program before, but at one time, Kaspersky was the number one paid AV program available. Vipre is supposed to be good at keeping malware at bay, but some say it is not as good at removing it.

The only AV software I paid for became a "Resource Hog" and slowed my comps down and had to be ditched. (Symantec). I use MSE and Defender and Avast (Mobile) and they work and are FREE!
Use W O T -(Web of Trust) and follow their warnings and you should keep out of trouble. Neil.

Good point, Neil. I think Web of Trust, in conjunction with Avast, has offered me better protection that an AV alone. I have Windows Defender (came with Win 7) installed, too, but I don't mess with it much except for the usual updates that MS alerts me to.

I wonder if the paid version of Malware Bytes would slow a machine down?

I use Norton 360 Premier Edition and never had any problems with my computer being slow.
