Question: Is this router recoverable or is it dead?

    Belkin Connect N150, model F7D5301 v1

A week or so ago we had a violent storm with lots of cloud to ground lightening. As a matter of fact the tree across the street was hit by lightening and a transformer near my home was hit.

Subsequently Internet service was down. Time Warner said it was fixed later that day but I still couldn't connect.

I unplugged from the router and went direct to the modem and was able to connect.

I reset the router; no help. I returned the router to factory defaults; no help. I unplugged the router, held the reset button in for 60 seconds; no help.

I can access the router and complete all functions on the router but it will not connect to the internet. I can see my wireless printer (didn't try printing to it) as well.

    No other items were affected.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Mitch

Sounds dead to me considering you started off with the electrical storm.

Thanks. Just wanted outside confirmation. Fortunately, I had a spare.
