[BBS - My System] won't expand

    Hi Guys, anyone having trouble viewing 'System' info? When I click on System the Blue changes to Red but no info is displayed???
    I've checked this on 3 comps and all are the same - no info. Neil.

    No - although not too sure exactly what you mean .....

    Control Panel > System shows System Properties window.

    Start > Run > msinfo32 > Enter shows System Information.
    That really has me confused :)

    As this is XP related according to your My System moved to XP forum

    Thanks Pete, I have confused things a little.
    On this BBS Post, under "My System" (in blue) when I click on it - nothing happens. It does not show contents of "My System"
    This has just happened yesterday and I have not made any changes/additions to my comp other than Windows Defender update.
    I checked the same with 2 Desktops and my laptop - no expansion of "My System "
    I hope that explains it more clearly. Neil.

    Ah - I was completely up the wrong gum tree - now I see :)

    Works fine over here, both your's and mine. I've no idea - one for Arie.

    Moved back to General Discussions with title edit.

    same here Pete when I click on your My System the text
    "My System" changes to red but no system display.

    Maybe a popup blocker software is causing it??

    nope, no pop up blocker stopping it, have tried on all three of my PC's all the same. Until just recently I was always able to expand " My System "

    Thank goodness you have it Bill. I thought I was daft - or had done something wrong. From Pete's reply, it may Southern Hemisphere fault or????? Neil.

    I did notice it a few days ago but have no idea exactly when it started as I thought it was just something temporary.
    Looks like the BBS does not like the Southern Hemisphere.

    And guess what I have just discovered that we can not use the Smilies anymore either banned from using them too.
    Wow we are really being punished here.

    It may be the other way around... the Southern Hemisphere might not like WindowsBBS.

    It has to be a script blocker or something. I know that AU does weird things trying to block Internet content. Sorry, but I can't address these problems.

    Something weird is going on I have sent Matt a PM who resides in Sydney (myself in Melbourne) and he tells me he has no problems.
    Matt suspected a Java issue, I downloaded and installed the latest Sun Java update without any joy.
    It is not a simple computer issue as I have tested it now with 4 different computers on different Operating Systems, XP, Vista and Win 7 with different Browsers on each IE7, IE8, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrom and Opera and all operating systems using each Browser has the same result.
    And Neil in New Zealand has the same issue.

    I've just tried again and it all works!!!
    I can use "Smilies" and System expands. Who and what fixed it I don't know.
    Bill, have you tried your's again? Neil is happy again.:D:D:D
