I am using Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit on an Acer 5742 I5.

I have tried many times to download I Player Desktop from the BBC site.

It seems to download OK, the icon appears on my desktop but I cannot open or run the programme.

I have the current version of Adobe Air installed.

    Any suggestions

I have checked the BBC I Player Help Page and can get nowhere with this problem. The only thing I have picked up from a TV help site is that there may have been a problem with Windows 7 64 bit vs Adobe Air but this would seem to have been resolved.

Tried to install I Player Desktop again at the weekend - no joy!

Are you using a UK based ISP or are you outside the UK and unable to?

No - I am just about as near to the middle of the UK as can be (in the West Midlands). I have Virgin cable broadband, Windows 7 64 bit and use Google Chrome as my browser.
