What do you think of Bazooka spyware scanner? Also, does using a firewall protect from adware/spyware?

No, a firewall alone will not. But things like SpywareBlaster, IESpyads and Spybot's immunize feature will help. New stuff being written all the time, so there's no 100%, but those things in combination will probably get you 99.9% protected. See the pinned thread spyware/slyware for more info and links. Don't know about Bazooka, because I believe Spybot and Ad-aware are all one needs. I've never used anything else, and they keep my PC clean. (despite what I subject it to researching nasties) :)

Its fine, but not for novices - will not do any deletion of what it finds. Will give registry locations for malware removal - up to user to do the cleaning.
