Battery not getting charged

    Hi I own a Dell Latitude 510 laptop XP.My adaptor is not able to charge my laptop whereas the same adaptor works with my friend's one.If i take out battery of other laptop and fix in my pc it works but doesn't gets charged.Also checked the device manager and checked the ACPI battery options,its enabled.Is it a problem of system board.

    It is a real common problem with laptops that the a/c plug connected to the mainboard breaks. Sometimes it can be soldiered back - other times you have to replace the whole mainboard.
