Basics differences between AMD and Intel processors

    What are the most basic differences between these to brands. At the moment i have the phenom quad core but i know very little about intels 'i range' Thanks

    One of the more notable differences between Intel and AMD is the Ram controller, with a Intel system the memory controller is located on the Motherboard and with a AMD system it is incorporated in the CPU.

    That was true before release of the ā€œIā€ series.
    I3, 5, 7 all have integrated memory controllers.
