Baffling aol surf prob and IE secure sight problems

Please help. I am having problems using the internet. Everytime I use aol, it blocks acess to any sites giving me an "action canceled" message. So, I try to switch to internet explorer, and can see some sites, but can't log into secure sights such as my fantasy sports account. I have deleted caches to cookies etc, un and reinstalled aol, many other things. I also was experiencing a computer slow down, but I have since resolved that. I still am having these problems acessing the internet. Anyone out there that can help, it would be very much appreciated. Thanx...

And everytime may be only making things worse. AOL does not do a good job of Un-installing itself.

Getting AOL cleaned out completely pretty much requires a MANUAL regedt to find all the trash it leaves behind. And then a manual deletion of the AOL folder(s) on the HD.

And then a re-install of IE to hopefully fix things up.

In my last VERY short experience with AOL ( not on my machine ) I had the same problem with not getting to a LOT of Sites. Not even my own Web Site.

it appeared to me that the Internet that AOL connected to was not the same as what IE would.
