Bad OE attachment display

Hi
OE email attachments are displayed as HTML code. The email is displayed properly but not the attachment. Some attachments show properly and some do not. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for your reply. From what I can tell it looks like the attachment has a
.eml extension. It looks like it is being opened with MS WORD. I dragged a copy to my desktop and tried opening it with the PIX & FAX viewer to no avail. I again opened it with the EML viewer and it opened properly. Now when I try opening the original copy in the email it uses the PIX & FAX viewer as the default software. How can I get OE to use the proper software depending on the attachment extension? I have another PC on my network that opens any attachment extension properly automatically?

Thanks much for your timely reply. Your directions below corrected the problem. I had never been in that part of the software before so I learned something new today. Your help is much appreciated

To alter the program used as default for opening .eml files go, in Windows Explorer to Tools > Folder Options and check out/change the association for EML - I suspect it is already OE - see screenshot....
